Tomorrow will be my last day in Melbourne, then will go back Laos before heading back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year with family. Got my pass for the quarter final men single quarter final between Njokovic vs Ferrer. I am sure it will be a nice game before I catching my plane to the airport.

Great Day But Bad Stomach

Eating too much at Thailand yesterday caused stomach upset this morning (Monday). Caused lot of backlogs in the morning for me to clear the work for coming month end tasks.

Next week will go to clinic with my wife as this week is her 14th week pregnant.

Just got back from home after spending long day in the office. Clearing most of the backlogs which accumulated since I am away from office. Will be going back to Australia next month during CNY for another meeting. Need to book the hotel earlier since the meeting holds during the Australia Open. Expect will have lot of people in the town for the annual event.

This Friday and Saturday will attend some Christmas's functions organized by some business partners.

The workshop started quite early today and ended up almost 9.30pm. It's a long day. I am enjoying every single moment of it as there are a lot of respects and sharing during the session.

No plan is plan. I am working nothing since Thursday until tomorrow before start to attend for training in Melbourne. So good that my plan is no plan for the last few days and this had cool myself and keep myself focus in next step of action.

Since moved to this new house, things is getting better and always feel a lot of rooms around me. Staying at the city center, I feel everything so convenient and good.

After back from Malaysia yesterday, I thought I can escaped from the moving to new house but I was wrong because I still got help out. Then today went around town just to get all the stuff to complete the new house. Honestly, the house size is just too big and got to do a lot of things to complete it.

I believe overtime, things will be super good and I am sure the utilities bill will be killing me :D

Another few days I will be back to Malaysia. Oh! Seriously excited and happy to look forward to this trip. Although will stay in Malaysia only for 2 days but this is really enough for me to line up my Chicken Rice, Kuew Teow, Dim Sum and many others. Yeah.....Any other plan?

Actually going to Malaysia for renewing my passport as the pages almost finished and required by the Australia immigration to have a new passport as back up.

Bye Bye Soon to Nong Tha Neau

After being at the Nong Tha area for more than 2 years, it's time to bid farewell to this wonderful Lao community neighborhood. It's started by lot of information fed to me by colleagues and friends that Nong Tha is a high crime area with lot of drug issues and thefts, but I never experience any of this in my past 2 years here. But this doesn't mean it didn't have any issue and I still see lot of policing attention given to this small community. Next week onward, I will move to Phonthan which definitely one of the best area in Vientiane capital. Strategically located in the middle of city center and embassies areas. Of course this come with a price and I believe this is a decision that I will take for the sake of my family :D

Finally after 2 weeks struggling in getting a suitable place for my family, finally I found it this morning. It's very strategic and located at the city center and diplomatic areas. Currently finalizing the agreement and hope can move in before Christmas.

Still Looking for House in Vientiane

After two days searching for ideal house, I still yet to decide what exactly I am looking for. Good location? Laos colonial or traditional or contemporary? Basically there is not much choices here beside those big white elephant which always lack of characteristics. Shall I continue stay in my new house and use my rental budget to the renovation and landscaping? Shall I buy another piece of land nearby and build a teak wood style of guest room for visitors? Still too much things to consider. Better let it go for one week and revisit the idea again

Holiday for Year End

Today had been wandering around to look for a good house as part of my job requirement and reputation. My current house still under construction and expect to be completed by early Dec. Today I found a nice place to consider for rent as the land size is 2000 sqm which cover mostly with great landscape. The house consist of wood and concrete materials with 200 sqm built size.

Will continue to search for better alternative, if not, I will sign the agreement by end of next week so I can move in before Christmas.

Planning to go back Malaysia during the Christmas week and take the opportunities to renew my passport as well.

After the wet season I expect the temperature will be lower but today is really hot and still sweating even though I am inside my house. Still busying with the house renovation which never end :D Hope I can really settle down with the new house by turn of the year. This coming weeks will expect very busy and tired with functions lining up. Still not yet get my jacket or business coats ready as I can't get over to Bangkok for small shopping. Maybe need to put up with what I have for now.

At the Mine

This is my first trip ever to mining site. Really astonished by the magnitude of it. Will stay for another day before heading back to Vientiane. Next week there will be public holiday in Vientiane, Laos to celebrate That Luang Festival. Planning to escape from this super crowded day but it will be hard as my passport pages had finished and only left 2-3 stamps which I plan to reserve for me going back to Malaysia for renewing it.

By the way, my wife is delivering me a good news with two months pregnant. Got to take a lot of pressures to become a daddy soon which I am definitely not ready :D

Going on annual leave after a month in the new company. Things going really good and excited as usual. It seem like I am still lagging behind in term of catching up with new team and new colleagues.

Yesterday arrived in Melbourne for the first time. Tired of the long flight but not affected by jet lagged. Really appreciate for what my new company did for me so far. Everything is first class so far and currently staying at Crown Promenade and just came back from the dinner at Crown Metropol and won some money from the casino after the dinner. Right now resting at the room and reading on my notebook.

Tomorrow morning planning to go Phillips Island but unsure of what time will reach back Melbourne as I got an appointment with my colleague later in the evening for dinner. Sunday will meet up some friends to catch up. Really looking forward to it.

This city is very slow and quiet compared to most cities I went in last 2 years. It's beyond my expectation. A lot of things you can do here but I don't feel like going as this is my business trip and just want to rest at my room and do some readings and surfing Internet.

Raining quite heavily in Vientiane Capital. My wife just got back from her working place and got herself so wet as she was riding motorbike today. Really hope that the wet season end soon to spare those who is underprivileged will not under too much pressure because of the flooding and road conditions in their village.

Tomorrow got to wake up early for weekly meeting. This will be my first meeting in this new company. Really enjoying my first week with new friends and colleagues. Of course new learning curve as well. Never stop learning and keep humble all the time.

Just did a short travel between two countries for some clearance. Everything went so well and couldn't be happier.

I noticed that by drinking puerh tea really help me to put my health to higher level. I started to drink puerh tea 4 years back and consuming it everyday. My medical report also showing excellent health status. Way to go :D

Anxiety over Patient

Recent weeks losing a lot of quality sleep time due to too much tasks in mind. From next week onward, I believe everything will be sort of settled and assume great vacation back to Malaysia to visit my parent. Since Vientiane, Laos already consider as my main place to stay for many many years to come, I will try to make it back to Malaysia at least once per year. For next year coming Chinese New Year, I think I can't make it for the 3rd year as there will be some programs required to follow up unless I got some exception from the team.

Today, I had a big chance to greet all my fellow colleagues who had been so supportive by thanking them for their big efforts to ensure a lot of success stories in the office which under my charge. Hope my moving on will not have much impact to their current performance and wish them continue success in near and far future.

My wife is doing very well for her new lingerie boutique and I believe she will do even greater in coming months due to the marketing effort and connection through my partner and of course her passion to see this through.

Raining Season Coming

Recent days, the weather started to give sign of warning that raining season coming to Vientiane. Really nice and definitely welcome after the heat since April. By the way, my house that I rented right now, there is no air conditioning. So this is definitely going to end of suffering :D

Yesterday, I went to my buddy's engagement (his 3rd time :D) and then evening went to another good friend's birthday party with my wife. Really tiring day because had been out of home since 8am until 11pm. Longer than my working hour.

What is my plan today? Health and fitness is definitely a lovely choice for me after several days on really good food cooked by my wife.

Moving Place Again?

When I woke up this morning, out of sudden, I decided not to move to the new house until end of this year to respect the culture and custom of Lao. Right now is raining season and it is not advisable to move to my new house yet. My current landlord also keep asking me to stay at current place until I feel I want to move out by end of this year and offer to stay on for free :D

After short discussion with my wife, we decided to postpone moving to the new house and plan to decorate the garden outside the house slowly and doing some small upgrade during this period as well.

Just check the airfares for coming September 2011 where I will have some time off from my work. The fares really cheap and plan to go round ASEAN with my wife in 2.5 weeks.

Very Happy to be back Home

Together with my family and friends is really one of the best moment for me after working away from home town for more than 1 year. Food, shopping, movies become my favourite pastimes for the last few days since I am back. Will be back to Vientiane on this coming Saturday and back to office on next Monday. I am very positive and will definitely feel more positive about it.

So sweet to be back home today. Was in Phuket with my wife for 3 days and enjoying every moment of it. Tomorrow might try to upload some photos on the facebook for sharing.

Today is definitely a great day with my family. Swept across several favourite Malaysia's dishes such Dry curry noodle, sotong kangkong, nasi lemak, penang prawn mee, and more to come tomorrow haha.

Recently received quite a lot of bunnies New Year messages and emails, and wondering what is bunny got to do with new year. Suddenly, whole things knock on my head that this year is year of rabbit :D Too long in Laos or too much into Laos until I forgotten that next week is Chinese New Year and Year of Rabbit. Taking the opportunity here, I would like to wish all Chinese a very prosperous Chinese Bunnies New Year.

Invitation to Bangkok

Just touched down this morning at Bangkok for one day Global Social Venture Competition's invitation for giving speech and judging bright business ideas. Very tired as working quite late yesterday. Decided to stay in the hotel and reviewing those papers for tomorrow event. Unfortunately, my wife couldn't join me again as she decided to stay in Laos to continue learning her driving course. Will be back to Laos on Monday evening and there are so much works awaiting for me as our regional meeting approaching in early February. So got to miss the Chinese New Year and only back to Malaysia on mid February when everyone finishing their celebration :D

Just got back from regular weekend spa and sauna. On the way back home, I was pondering on the question being ask by my friend at the center asking how old am I. Really uncomfortable that I am exactly 31 years old this year. Wow. Time really fly and I had spent more than 30 years looking around learning and searching. Nobody can really predict themselves well. I never imagine I am in Laos and my wife is Laotian :D Luckily and happily that I ended up what I am today and what I am doing everyday really become a consolation to me when thinking and counting my age right now :D Happy weekend

All Set and Wait Again

Most documents had been completed to ensure another success year in Laos. Right now waiting for the land title to be transferred and will stay in Laos for another few years. Recently, I really noticed that inflation is getting really uncontrollable in Vientiane especially regard to food price. It keeps on increasing since 2008/09 until this year. I hope that some organizations or governmental agencies can do something for the poor in the country.

Fabulous Family Commitment

Read an article about "The ferry family" by Guo Rui, China Daily. Really touched by this family commitment to keep their great grandfather's promise to keep on ferrying the villagers across the river for free until a bridge was built. For almost four generation now, and this Wan's family still keep strongly on this promise as to repay the kind villagers who helped their great grandfather before to settle in this Dashahe village, Sanli town, Jianshi county, Hubei province.

Just concluded which hotel to stay when going to Phuket before heading back to Malaysia on 15th February 2011. Most of the hotel or resort quite pricey.

Almost a year listening to the feedback from peers and colleagues in the office, they always advice me to provide an engaging environment to the office environment in order to bring out the best from everyone. I am really seeing a lot of changes by the team for 2010 and the team really engaging with each others to suggest and improve their services and skills. Very optimistic and looking forward to next year soon.

Holiday Almost End

My holiday also end. Within 2 days I will officially back to office mode. My family is here with me in Laos and we just came back from Luang Prabang superb trip together and enjoy lot of great fun and food while we are there. The most memorable moment is half day elephant riding experiences with Tad Sae waterfall tour as well.

We ended our great holiday at Luang Prabang with my parent meeting my parent in law who are so grateful to sit on the bus for 8 hours just for a dinner with my parent. Thank you so much for their kindness and passion.
